About Justin Pines

Justin is the product of a musical family - his mom a concert pianist and his dad in a rock band. He picked up a guitar in middle school and never looked back, learning to play by ear to Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, Nirvana and Zeppelin among many others. It was Chris Cornell’s vocals that inspired Justin to sing, always trying to figure out how to expand his vocal range. The 90’s were the biggest influence on Justin’s musical style, marrying rock, blues, punk and pop genres. Over the last 20+ years, Justin has performed on-stage in front of hundreds of people, sang tenor, lead and bass in a barbershop quartet and written and recorded his own songs. In all his years of music, his favorite musical moments include seeing Soundgarden’s first reunited show in 2010, seeing the Foo Fighters in Chile in 2015, and being invited by fellow bandmates Brian and Dave to join/form the Whiskey Flowers in 2018.
